House rules at Uncle Lee's
These terms apply when you use secretl.ee or its apps. By using Secret Lee you agree to them. If you use it for an organisation, you agree on its behalf. How we handle personal data is in our privacy policy.
1. The service
Secret Lee lets you share text and files through links that work a limited number of times and then disappear. Encryption happens on your device, so we cannot read, recover or moderate what you share. Features, limits and pricing may change; the current limits are listed in the security whitepaper.
2. Accounts
- Recipients never need an account. Creating one requires a valid email address.
- Keep access to your email, Google account and API tokens safe. You are responsible for activity under them.
- Organisation owners and admins can manage members, tokens and metadata for their organisation.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Secret Lee to:
- share anything illegal, or material you have no right to share;
- distribute malware, phishing links or stolen credentials, or deceive people;
- harass, threaten or exploit anyone;
- overload, probe or get around the service's limits and security, or resell it without permission.
We can't see contents, but we can disable links, revoke tokens and suspend accounts that are reported or detected breaking these rules. Report abuse to lee@secretl.ee with the link.
4. Your content
What you share stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and deliver the encrypted data until it is read, burned or expires. Once a secret is gone, it cannot be recovered by you or by us.
5. No warranty
Secret Lee is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it secure and running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Anyone holding a link can open it, so send links only through channels you trust, and use a passphrase for anything sensitive.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and SGD 100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Ending use
You can stop using Secret Lee at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms, or if we stop running the service, with notice where reasonable.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do; material changes will be emailed to account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction. Questions: lee@secretl.ee.
